Clarins Double Serum: the game changer

Do you know those products that promise radical and almost immediate changes in your skin? I never trust them. So many disappointments… That’s why the first time I applied the Clarins double serum I was shocked. But I waited. Trust issues. However, after five weeks using this multi-award winning serum twice a day I can finally confirm it: this product really changes your skin. I’m even a little bit afraid of how much I love it because I know that from now on I won’t be able to live without it (#firstworldproblems, I know). And I can tell you that because last weekend, while we were in Copenhagen, I didn’t take it with me and oh, I’ve suffered. Suddenly my moisturizer didn’t seem enough. This serum makes my skin feel absolutely nourished. It doesn’t eliminate wrinkles or pores completely (it’s not surgery!) but the skin looks brighter, glowy… alive! If you are in your twenties, don’t even think about it. Your skin is fine. Don’t worry. In ten years you’ll miss how firm, juicy and fresh you …

Red lipstick

If you are a beauty addict I’m sure you’ve recognized this picture. Yes, it’s the beauty look from D&G’s last show. The makeup was flawless and exactly my favorite kind of beauty look. Juicy yet matte red lips and a good old elegant black cat eye. When I’m not slapping neutral shades all over my face, this is what I like to wear. But red lipstick is tricky. Oh yes. And I’m not talking about which shade suits you better (that problem has an easy solution: ask the girl in the counter). I’m talking about those tiny lines around your lips that insist on ruining your otherwise sophisticated and perfect bold lisptick. Those lines that your red lipstick decides to follow in an attempt to make you look like a granny. If you have 20 years you probably haven’t heard of them (unless you smoke) but beware! They are coming your way. Oh yes. I’ve been using antiageing creams since the day I turned 20, I haven’t smoked a cigarette in my whole life, I drink plenty of …

Rosy cheeks and red lips

Chocolate and Clarins are my biggest addictions, so when I saw that the Sephora next to my mum’s house was having a clearance I run. Fast. I’ve had my eye in these two items for a while. Did I need them? No. That’s why I only got them when the price was pretty reduced. I chose the Blush Prodige Illuminating Cheek Colour in the shade Soft Peach. While the name suggests coral undertones and reminds you of a Summery colour, the truth is quite different. It’s a sheer pink that gives you subtle healthy rosy cheeks, which in my opinion is the epitome of Wintery makeup. This small blush palette has different shades that combine perfectly to achieve a really natural yet radiant result. The lipstick it’s not so natural. In fact it’s a pretty bright red. It’s from the Clarins’ Rouge Eclat collection, which we discovered last Autumn. If you read this post, you’ll now that the shade Strawberry sorbet has become our absolute favourite. It’s ridiculously nourishing and  looks beautiful on the lips. Well, …

Natural Autumn Make up

If you follow us (which you should) you already know that we are a tiny bit addicted to Clarins. We love their approach to beauty and their sublime yet natural shades. So, before everyone gets crazy about Christmas special editions, let’s take a moment to admire their beautiful Autumn collection. As soon as I saw that eye shadow I knew I had to have it. I know, I know, I said I would never buy any new eye shadow again but this one is the perfect brownish / taupe / greyish colour. It really is. And you apply it with your finger. Simple as that! It’s a cream to powder texture that looks beautifully matte and delightfully subtle. So, it has it all: quick application, perfect colour and dreamy texture. It’s the shade Rosewood and it’s been my go to eye shadow this month. And talking about natural and appealing shades, I can’t recommend you the Rouge Eclat lipstick enough. We got it in Strawberry sorbet, which far from being a bright Summer pink as the …

What’s in my bag? Travel edition

Do you travel light or full of “what ifs”? We always carry everything with us. Everything. The result: sore backs, grumpy moods and uncomfortable travel. But not anymore!!! We are determined to travel smart. Since we are going away this weekend (more on that this afternoon, stay tuned!) we’ve prepared a “just the essentials” travel bag. Well, apart from our phones, chargers, wallets and wipes, ehem, this is all we will take with us: 1. A medium size cross body bag. Free hands, cute colour, nice leather. It ticks all the right boxes. We bought this one in Hakei, one of our favourite Spanish shops. They have the best leather and fantastic designs. 2. Our camera. In fact we usually take two cameras with us. This one is our Canon Powershot S120. It’s small, easy to use (well, I still have to learn a few tricks) and records video too. 3. A notebook and a pen. To write drown all things important. And scrawling, mostly. 4. Oil blotting papers. Planes are awful to our skin, that’s …

Bedtime routine

Contrary to most people, I love removing my make up. I really enjoy that moment when my face feel fresh and clean again after a long day. That relaxation, that moment when I am just me, comfy at home, in my pijamas. My face finally breaths and so does my skin. The stress goes away with the mascara. After that it’s all fluffly bed, a good reading and sweet dreams. It’s a ritual that I never miss. Lately I’ve been using these two products and they have made this bedtime routine even more pleasant. The Pure Melt Cleansing Gel is really smooth and gentle with my skin. This gel turns into an oily formula on the skin, but don’t panic! It doesn’t leave that greasy sensation, quite the opposite. After the gel, I’ve been using the Capital Lumière Night Cream, a luxurious rich formula that restores luminosity. Since glowy skin is my beauty mantra lately, this seemed the most appropriate solution for my night skincare. It smells amazing, it leaves my skin super nourished and makes …

Beauty favourites

We’ve been using these products over and over again for the last month, so we might as well share them with you because they are absolutely fantastic. We are not beauty experts but, from not beauty expert to another… do you want to have a look?

In my suitcase: Holiday make up

Tomorrow we are flying back home for Christmas and we couldn’t be more excited. Our suitcases are almost finished, the only thing that we haven’t prepared is our make up bag. Here you have some products that we are taking with us… and some others that we wish we could add last minute to look our best this Christmas: 1. Adult Content Blush Palette by NARS. This is a limited edition with the four iconic NARS blush and highlighting blush shades. I’m hoping to get hold of it in Spain, since they don’t sell NARS products here. 2. Le Teint Touche Èclat: my favourite foundation to achieve glowing skin. 3. No 7 Skin Illuminator Fluid: perfect to add that extra yet subtle glow without being too shimmery. 4. Ombres Matelassées: limited edition eyeshadow palette by Chanel with the most beautiful colours to get several effects, from the glamourous shimmer to the matte finish. This is what I’ll be looking for at the duty free tomorrow! 5. The Porefessional by Benefit. I use it every day. …

New in: Clarins-aholic

My mother knows me well, that’s why she gave me these amazing new make up products from Clarins in my birthday. To be honest, I’ve just tested the Eclat Minute Embellisseur Lèvres and I couldn’t love it more. You can use it as a primer before you apply your lipstick or just by itself. I prefer the latter. The shade my mother got me was apricot shimmer and it’s just the perfect lip colour for a smoky eye look. It gaves that juicy texture that combines beautifully with a dark matte eye.  I’m looking forward to trying the Be Long mascara, which I’m sure it will take my eyelashes to another level. And now that the party season is around the corner, this palette is going to complement my most festive looks. Since my eyes are boring brown, these violet shades will add a little bit of sparkle, don’t you think? Oh, and by the way, now that I’ve had a look at Clarins’ website, I need this desperately! You can check my Clarins-mania here :) PS: …

Soin remodelant ventre – taille, Clarins

We try to work out, we really do. For a short period of time we even went running a couple of days every week. But… oh well! We love our sofa, enjoying cups of coffee in Winter and fresh drinks al fresco in Summer… and we are always really lazy busy when it comes to visit the gym. So when the weather gets nicer and we don’t have our beloved coats to cover us we go more Clarins-aholic than ever and try all their firming, contouring and slimming products. Now we have all our hopes pinned on this redefining body treatment for abdomen and waist. We’ll let you know!! Do you like this kind of measures? I’m sure you all work out like crazy all year… right? ;)
