Hello 2018!

Happy New Year! We are back from a crazy couple of weeks in Spain and we are still adapting to our slow-paced life in Germany. We hope you’ve had a wonderful time with your family and friends, we sure did and now it’s time to get back to work and our beloved routine. First of all, this is not a post about New Year’s resolutions, mostly because we don’t have any. We just hope 2018 brings health, that’s all. However, we are quite excited about 2018, a year that starts on Monday has to be a great one, no? And since this year looks so organised already, we want to get this online space all tidy, neat and prepared for the next months. So, here’s what you can expect from The slow pace this year…. What started as a travel blog has turned into a different thing because… well, because we can’t travel as frequently as we would want to, because I am a beauty addict and I love sharing whatever I’m coveting and because cooking …

This weekend we attended The Hive Conference. For those of you who don’t know what it is, let us explain: The Hive is a meeting of pretty awesome people (mostly women) who love sharing beautiful and interesting content online.  So basically we spent two days getting inspired and encouraged. We listened to brands, we were mesmerized by other blogger’s experiences and we had THE BEST time.

Radio Silence

Please excuse the radio silence this past two days. Work has been crazy! We’ll be back on Monday with our normal schedule, our final post about our trip to Amsterdam, a delicious recipe and much more! Have the best weekend ever!

Virtual blog tour

Today’s post is something different from everything we’ve done before. Today we are going to open up and speak about our creative process and how The slow pace works. Spotted Cow, one of the Wandering cows (and one of the nicest people we’ve met through the blog) asked us to participate in this project and we couldn’t say no. We don’t usually like this kind of things but since we all struggle to create content, I thought it would be really interesting to read about how creative minds work and share tips and bits. So this is going to be a looooong post. You better grab something to drink, cuddle up in your sofa and… let’s go!

Four new recipes

The last couple of weeks I’ve been looking for yummy inspiration and found several amazing food blogs. They are huge, I know, but I’ve just discovered them! Today I wanted to share with you four recipes that I’m super excited to try! Let’s start with a beautiful Spring salad. Honey-roasted pecans, blackberries and blue cheese?? I’m in!

Happy birthday!

The slow pace turns two years old today!!! Our blog is a toddler!!! We are really proud of this little space of ours. During this time we’ve learnt a lot and, what is more important, we’ve realized that we want and need to learn more, see more, write more, take more pictures… More, more, more!!! We have big plans for The slow pace. We wanted it to grow slowly, carefully and happily. And that is happening every day. But we still have lots of work to do! We are determined to improve our content, our pictures and our browsing experience. We are preparing a very nice Summer travel series, we will be focusing a little bit more in decor and home entertainment, we will look for the coolest fashion brands and we will try to attend more courses and meetings to take The slow pace to another level. We really hope to see you around every day and keep in touch via our social media! Love, P. & E. PS: Follow THE SLOW PACE on Bloglovin, Facebook, Twitter, …

Living abroad

Yesterday was our third German anniversary. We’ve been living in Germany for three years now. I just can’t believe it. We arrived in Bremen a really cold night after missing our connection at CDG airport. We were exhausted, angry and sad. My grandfather had had a heart attack the day before our departure so I was worried sick. I remember thinking: tomorrow everything would be better. (Scarlett O’Hara style).

Weekend style icons: Vicky

Meet Vicky, the lovely girl behind Bikinis and Passports. She is a gorgeous German lady (we love her freckles!) based in Vienna who has created a lovely space full of nice looks, great recipes and pretty ideas: her blog is lovely!  She is our inspiration for the weekend with her classic basic looks with a twist.

This is getting serious

Look! The slow pace has brand new business cards!!! Do you like them? We love them! When we started this blog we never thought we would keep it more than a few months but guys, this is getting serious! We never thought we would have followers, but there are more than 150 people out there following our blog, we never though someone would be interested in collaborating with us and we have a lovely sponsor since last February ( thank you AB line!) and we never thought anyone would notice our little blog, but last week we reached 20.000 visitors! Ok, I get it, that’s not much compared with other super blogs in the blogospehere, but for us is huge! The lovely card holder is from &otherstories, you can buy it here! We designed and printed our cards with Moo. Funny name, great cards! So, thank you for being there! We will keep on working to see you around here everyday! E & P.
