Your new best friend

You may or may not have seen this picture in our instagram feed (@theslowpace). It was taken in Treviso airport a week ago. Do you see that little black thing? It’s called Tep and it has officially became our absolute travel essential item.  Tep is a pocket wifi device that gives you the possibility of blogging, sharing your pretty selfies on Instagram or checking your work E-Mails wherever you go. You just book it, use it and return it. And you pay like a local on more that 100 destinations. When booking, you have to specify the dates and destination of your travel. You will receive the device a couple of days prior to your departure and you have to send it back up to four days after your return. If you live in the UK you can choose one of their drop off spots and just leave it there. It’s ridiculously easy to use: no set up, no cables, nothing. You turn it on, insert the password in your smartphone, tablet or laptop and you are …

Moodboard: Edinburgh

If you follow us on Instagram or Twitter (@theslowpace) you know that we spent the weekend in Amsterdam. We’ve had a great time and we absolutely need to come back to get to know the city a little bit better. A weekend was obviously not enough! And that made us think about other places that we need to revisit. The first one that came into our minds was Edinburgh! Besides, with Autumn just around the corner we know that tartan is making its comeback… so thinking about Edinburgh is inevitable! (Well, the Scottish independence referendum this month is another reason to think about Scotland too… but let’s not get into politics and stick to tartan and shortbread). Edinburgh is a city that is really close to my heart. Lots (I mean: lots!) of years ago I spent a wonderful and terribly fun Summer studying there. I remember the melancholic weather, the grey sky and the beautiful trees that showed the first signs of Autumn. But I also remember the crazy shopping in Princess Street, the …

Hi there? How’s everyone doing? We are having a great time in Ibiza! Today it’s raining (sad face) so we’ve finally found the time to sit and blog! Last Wednesday we drove to Ibiza and visited the old town. Here you have lots and lots of pictures of our day in the old town if you’d like to see…

Cala Olivera, Ibiza

Hi there! We are having a great time in Ibiza and we thought we could share with you a little bit of our holidays. We can’t promise to post every day, but we hope to keep you updated and give you some tips about this famous island.

If you follow us, you’d know that we spent last weekend in London. We had a great time! We visited Bailey’s Stardust exhibition, we wandered through the streets of Marylebone village and we shopped. That’s inevitable. Everytime we visit London we go shopping. I mean… who doesn’t? One of the highlights of our trip was the new collection by Whistles. Even though we already knew this brand, we never payed much attention to it, to be honest. But this time we were surprised by their sort of edgy Summer colelction.

The Mandeville experience

London is one of our favorite destinations when it comes to weekend getaways but finding a nice accommodation can be tricky. We have stayed in really different places: from the überpriced B&B in Paddigton to a huge hotel facing the famous Big Ben. But we finally have found our home in London. I never thought I would say that, but we have found the hotel where we would love to stay from now on every time we visit London. The search is over. Let us introduce you to The Mandeville Hotel.

Dublin diary: friends, design shops, parks and amazing pizzas

Last weekend we visited our friends T. and G. in Dublin and we had the BEST time. The weather was fantastic (bearing in mind it was October and Dublin), the company couldn’t have been funnier and the city was amazing. We visited Dublin a couple of years ago and we have to admit that back then we didn’t really liked it. But this time we really loved it and enjoyed it. We shared with you some pics via instagram (@theslowpace) but we thought we could show you a little bit more about our Irish experience, which involved a fair amount of cocktails, long walks, great conversations and hipster pizzas.

October favourites

Hi there! How was your weekend? Ours was super quiet, just as we like it. On Friday we enjoyed our favourite TV series with our favourite dinner lately: avocado toasts. On Saturday we went shopping and have lunch in the coolest restaurant in Bremen, Presse, and had our favourite lunch: tuna burgers. They were spectacular! You can have a look at them in our instagram account (@theslowpace). Finally on Sunday we prepared our favourite marinated chicken. So, since this weekend has been alll about our favourite meals, we thought we could share with you our October favourites, those recipes we are going to try this month! 1. Zucchini parmesan crisps: the perfect snack. 2. Chocolate babka: we didn’t knew this thing existed, but we have to try it. It looks like heaven to us. 3. Mac and cheese: we have tro try this American classic. Comfort food perfect for the early cold days of Autumn. 4.Cookies that look like doughnuts. I mean: cookies that look like doughnuts! 5. Butternut and seet potato soup: butternut and …
