Welcome to the last instalment of our Healthy Lunches series. Today we bring you an Italian lunch. These mixed roasted vegetables are delicious on their own, but if you paired them with this beautifully seasoned fish, the result is stunning.
Let’s start the week with flavour. This is our go to menu when we want something really tasty and we are really hungry. These recipes together are delicious and will keep you full until dinner.
Good morning! How was your weekend? We had a great time on Saturday: we went to the farmers market, ate lunch in our favourite place (click, click) and finish the day with a concert. Sunday was for cooking. So let’s get back to our healthy lunches and start the week with good intentions. This recipe is a modified version of the tradicional Spanish lentil soup, which is delicious, but quite strong. We have made it vegan and lighter.
Last week we started our “Healthy Lunch” series and today we want to continue with a new delicious recipe that is tasty, low carb and really quick to prepare: cilantro lime cauliflower and roasted salmon.
Good morning everyone! New Year resolutions are almost one month older. How is it going? We are trying… Eating healthier is always our number one resolution. That, and going to the gym regularly. We have gone to the gym once. Yeah… Nailed it. Oh, but we are having the healthiest lunches! We are really proud. That’s why we thought we could share them with you! Yes, you can stop having crappy sandwiches at the office and start enjoying super tasty healthy dishes that you can prepare in aprox. 30 minutes the night before. Let’s start with our first menu: green beans with marinated chicken breasts.
Good morning! We are back in Germany, back to work and back to our normal schedule. But before moving forward to 2015, we wanted to share with you a little recap of the recipes posted in The slow pace during 2014. Mmm… Monday! is one of our favourite sections and remembering our experiments in the kitchen has been quite fun… and surprising! I thought we were bakers, not cookers… but it turns out it’s the other way round! We have baked less and cooked more. Do you want to have a look at our very own cookbook?
Let’s put our healthy lunches aside for a moment and focus on one of the best things in life: brunch. I read about this place here and I immediately knew it would become one of our favourite spots in Copenhagen.
After two posts dedicated to resolutions for the new season, we are ready to jump into Autumn like a child jumps into a puddle. And this recipe is perfect for that. It’s ridiculously easy, it’s light but comforting and, well, even its colours scream Autumn. This chickpea curry is going to be our go-to for those days when we want something naughty after a long day in the office followed by a gym session… but we still want our dinner to be good for us. We talked about this kind of dinners in our meal prep 101 post last week, go have a look if you don’t have read it already. In 30 minutes you’ll have an amazingly delicious dinner and, if you double the amount of ingredients, you can freeze a couple of bowls for busy days or lunches at work. We love breakfasts and since we moved to Bremen, finding the best breakfast in town has been one of our hobbies. Honestly, there’s not much you can do in this little town, but the breakfast scene is getting quite good. In fact, breakfast in Germany is really special. Maybe the terrible weather is the reason why so many people get together for a nice breakfast out instead of dinner but meeting for breakfast is really popular and most restaurants, bakeries and cafés offer different options and usually booking a table is necessary. We discovered The Yellow Bird coffee, a hipster style, Instagrammable goldmine café at the beginning of the Summer and we’ve been going back almost every weekend. The coffee is spectacular, the atmosphere is lovely and the breakfast options are healthy-ish and absolutely delicious. Plus, we finally have avocado on toast in Bremen!! Yes, I know, that’s so 2015 but hey, the trend just arrived to Bremen. We doubted about sharing this place in the blog for a while, but we realized that if …
