My Naked Palette

I might be the last person on the planet to purchase the famous Naked Palette by Urban Decay, but remember this Sephora clearance? Well, I that’s when I thought now or never! I wanted it for a long time but I always doubted about which one would be the best for me. I know, I know, #firstworldproblems.

Naked_palette_1I finally went for the Naked 2. I was seduced by the shimmery eyeshadows (something I never thought I’d say). Well, now that I’ve been using it for a while I can say that I have mixed feelings: on the one hand the colours are beyond beautiful, so subtle and discreet, and the brush is surprisingly good (Though I always prefer my MAC brushes!). But on the other hand, I have to wear a good primer because otherwise the eyeshadows only stay put for a couple of hours. Not very long lasting, I’m afraid.

However, the shades are oh so gorgeous that all in all, I’m very happy with my purchase. Tease is the perfect matte base, Hald baked is great to light up my tired eyes, I’ve been using Pistol a lot lately, and YDK and Busted are a great duo if I want a sultry smoky eye. Snakebite and Suspect are also a very nice couple for everyday looks. And Booty Call highlights the inner corner of my eyes beautifully.

Now, I must confess that I’m intrigued abour Naked 3…

  1. My sister bought be me this exact pallet for christmas and I am in love. I’m not one to pay that much for eye shadow. Unfortunately I love it so much that I will be purchasing another when this one runs out, which is hopefully over a year. I do agree, I have to wear a primer or else it does not stay on. I think that is pretty typical for all eye shadows though. Anyways, I love this product too. haha! Thanks for sharing.
