After three very busy weekends, we finally got to spend a nice peaceful weekend at home. We wanted to light candles, watch House of Cards and eat tons of chocolate. Not only did we do all that, but we also tried a new cocktail recipe. It was creamy, sweet and Christmassy. Just what we needed to curl up under the blanket and relax.
For two delicious cups, you will need:
1/3 cup of milk
1/3 cup of heavy cream
Cinnamon
Ice
1 tablespoon caramel sauce
1 tablespoon maple syrup
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
4 cl. Brandy (we may or may not have added a little bit more)
Heat the milk, cream, caramel, syrup, vanilla and two pinches of cinnamon in a saucepan on medium heat. Stir and be careful not to scald the milk! Once the caramel dissolves, remove from the heat and let it cool.
Shake the milk mixture with the brandy in a cocktail shaker filled with ice. Strain, garnish with cinnamon and serve with festive straws and a couple of Speculoos biscuits!
The perfect naughty snack for the holidays!

This looks so good! Can’t wait to finally have time again to do fun stuff. Who are we kidding though, I might actually try this out already this week :)
House of Cards and a drink like that sounds like a day well spent to me.

What timing! I was searching yesterday afternoon for a milk-based cocktail to pair with chocolate chip cookies! I just might borrow this recipe and credit you of course! This is great! Any idea if this will work well if the drink is warm?

Please do try it and let us know!! We’ll be ver happy to see your take on it! You can drink it warm, but it would be even sweeter. We used crushed ice, so it came out very smooth and not at all crunchy.
Thanks for passing by!!!
I love the straws !
Cute, huh? :)
