This weekend we decided to try a recipe from one of the last cookbooks we bought: The book of burger. We love gourmet burgers and this book has more of 200 recipes! This time we went Italian and prepared a wonderful burger with delicious roasted tomatoes that was simply amazing.
This recipe is a explosion of flavour: roasted plump tomatoes, fresh thyme and Parmesan cheese together with beautifully seasoned meat (Pancetta is one of the condiments! Go figure!). The secret to get a perfect burger all’amatriciana, however, is the crusty kaiser rolls. Other kind of bun or bread won’t be good enough. We bought them in our local bakery, but you could make yours from scratch with this recipe.
This burger would be a great addition to any weekend menu and now that the barbecue season is approaching, it could also be a different way of interpreting your burgers!
You can find the recipe here. Enjoy!
