Belavista Hotel & Spa

This is the first time in our lives that we were on vacation and we didn’t want to leave the hotel. We just couldn’t. Everything was so beautiful, calm and inviting that wahtever was outside its doors simply didn’t matter.
Placed in one of the most popular tourist destinations in Algarve, Belavista Hotel & Spa, is without any doubt the best hotel in the region. The hotel overlooks Praia da Rocha, one of the most impressive beaches of the Algarve. Everything here invites to relax and feel happy and pampered without any care in the world. After a terrible Winter and a rainy Spring, we needed sun, cocktails and massages. And that’s what we had!

The fantastic and extremely tasteful decor surprised us. A mix of traditional blue tile, dark wood and unexpected printed textiles creates a sophisticated yet welcoming atmosphere.

Our room was charming and had the most beautiful blue/mint colour. The bed was huge, comfortable and pretty. The room was an oasis… pure relax.

Every afternoon, the chambermaid left us the most delicious treats when she prepared our room for the night. Such a lovely touch! Of course, we took photographs of every treat before devouring it!

The bathroom had wonderful lovely little L’Occitane amenities.

The swimming pool, surrounded by perfect palm trees and sun beds, was the ideal place to spend the day reading, enjoying a drink or a light lunch at the pool bar, sunbathing and feeling how the fresh sea breeze took away the stress.

The gastronomy was simply excellent. With perfect breakfasts on the terrace and elegant dinners at the Vista restaurant, we were impressed by both the quality of the cuisine and the impeccable service. (Stay tuned for a post about the Vista restaurant next Monday!)

This is where we ate our breakfast every morning…

Fresh, local products. Just how we like it. Every morning they would serve the most amazing fruit juices: watermelon and basil, strawberry and papaya, melon and mint… Simply delicious. But we ate more than fruit, obviously… The scrambled eggs with salmon were a-ma-zing (that’s why we don’t have any pictures, sorry! We ate them all every day without taking pics :P). The fresh baked pastries were out of this world. And the cheese… sigh!

hbl_breakfast_2We felt spoilt during the whole stay. I tell you: the staff is the true gem of Belavista Hotel & Spa, the authentic luxury of this place.  From the receptionists to the bell boys, without forgetting the Spa therapists and the waiters, the staff at this hotel is truly and simply fantastic. The service is outstanding: discreet, professional, kind and cheerful.

If you visit Belavista Hotel and Spa be sure to enjoy lonely peaceful morning walks in the beach, quiet afternoons by the pool, relaxing massages at the L’Occitane Spa on the premises, and fancy cocktails at the distinguised hotel bar. The strawberry bite was my fave!

Bela Vista Hotel & Spa provides a unique mesmerizing experience.  By far, the best hotel we’ve ever been to.
