Stripes, stripes, stripes

There are two constants in our wardrobe: monochrome and stripes. And now that Summer is here, stripes are our favourite because who doesn’t want to feel like Brigitte Bardot in the French Riviera (or a Venetian gondolier)?  These are a few striped pieces that you can find in our closet. Over the years, we’ve been putting together a striped section in our wardrobe with staples that go from working appropriate blazers to cute bikinis. The dress: this is an old time favourite of mine. Great for breakfasts overlooking the sea, afternoon ice cream runs or even Fridays at the office. This one is from Mango and it has a few years but you can find a similar one here and here (on sale!) The swimsuit: with a really flattering neckline, this swimsuit looks really cute with denim shorts. You won’t need anything else to go to the beach. Well, sunscreen and a magazine, but that’s about it. Find similar pieces here, here and here. The perfect striped tee: we talked about these tees a few …

In my suitcase: white nail polish

I used to hate white nail polish, but it started to grow on me… It was everywhere and I started to like it. That’s so tipically me! No personality, I guess. Anyway, I decided to give it a try. I went for Essie’s Marshmallow because it has a light pink undertone that helps to avoid the Tipp-ex effect. I’m going to take it with me on holidays because I like the result, what do you think? I guess that it will look even better with a little bit of a tan. I have to admit that I don’t even know me anymore. I’m really surprised, I’ve never thought I would wear anything like that on my nails… What’s next? Black? Who knows! ;) PS: Summer nails.

Christmas decor

Good morning! How was your weekend? We visited the Christmas market, had a French cinema Sunday afternoon and ate our weights in chocolate. It was a  great weekend :-) Our home is finally full of Christmas spirit. It’s warmer, cosier and brighter than ever! We decided that this year our decorations would be white and blue with warm wooden details, but the traditional bright red is inevitable! We’re very happy with the result. Adventkranz, another German tradition that we have adopted. Little pine cones in our Villeroy & Boch cake stand. Christmas tree and a lovely reindeer who has been with us for almost ten years.
