During the last few months we’ve been updating our slow-paced weekend guides. These guides want to be your go-to resource when planning your next European weekend getaway. Here you won’t find museums, sights or your average tourist routes. In these slow-paced guides we just share with you our favourite places to eat, drink a nice cup of coffee and go for a carefree walk. Our goal is to encourage an alternative way of travel: we want you to admire the architecture by exploring all the side streets, we want you to stop and have a nice drink in that cute café and pretend you are a local, we want you to indulge in a lovely meal without stressing about what’s next on your to do list. We also include a few hotels recommendations, because for us choosing the right accommodation is key to enjoy our trips. We uncover the most charming boutique hotels where you will find a unique hospitality, a sense of place and a extremely comfortable bed to enjoy room service because… why …
Edinburgh is fun, real fun. It’s a city to enjoy on foot up and down those beautiful hills that instantly put you in a good mood in spite of the usually terrible weather. The charming at day but enveloped in mystery at night cobblestone streets are full of history, there is a fantastic place to grab a drink or a bite in almost every corner and the city has a terrific cultural life. Squeezing all that Edinburgh has to offer in a couple of days could be difficult (and stressful), so take it easy, try to focus on having a good time and follow these tips to enjoy a wonderful slow-paced weekend in Edinburgh. HOW TO GET THERE The Edinburgh airport is perfectly connected to the city by bus and tram. The tram takes a little bit longer and cost a tad more but the ride is smoother. Whatever you choose you won’t need more than half an hour to be in Princess Street with the Old Town standing majestically to your right and …
This is an ode to black and denim. If you happen to love one of them (or both) here you have your inspiration for the weekend: Rima or Fire on the head.
This is Silvia. She is a fashion stylist for VIVA magazine and she is our latest style crush. That hair, that wardrobe? Stunning, just like her blog!
We’ve just discovered Julia thanks to Alba, the designer of our beloved AB Jewellery, and it’s been love at first sight. And by just I mean yesterday! Alba announced on her Facebook that she was meeting her and we got super curious. Alba is one of our references when it comes to trend spotting so we had the feeling we will love Julia’s blog. And we did! We’ve been browsing Stylonylon all morning and we thought we absolutely have to share it with you. In a few hours she’s become one of our favorite bloggers ever! She is a photographer, writer and pretty much everything what we would love to be.
This weekend we go back to France again in search of inspiration. After Clara and Marie here comes Jane, because, as she says on her blog, French girls do it better.
Another Friday, another weekend style icon. This week we introduce you to Marie, a beautiful Parisienne that shows a modern approach to the classic French allure. And her haircut is the epitome of cool. That’s always very important. And for that reason we envy her very much. And she has two kids and she looks like this. What’s with the Parisian mums? Do you remember last week’s post?
We found Clara’s blog this week and we just can’t get enough! She is a Parisian mum of 3 (3!!!), runs her own company and has an outstanding style. We want to be like her! Mayor closet envy. Lots of high quality basics, neutral colours, flats and bold lips. And don’t get us started on her bag collection… Clara, we love you!!!
So this weekly section has turned out to be one of your favourites. We actually really enjoy preparing these posts every week because while doing so, we have discovered amazing, talented (and sometimes very young) ladies. And now we always know what to wear on Saturdays. That was the point, actually. Anyway, one of our more recent discoveries has been this girl. She has an amazing style and killer hair. At first we thought she was one of those scandi beauties, but it turns out she comes from Canada! You can find her blog here.
While we are going to spend Saturday and Sunday at home doing some renovations and looking everything but presentable, we still want to share with your our weekly dose of inspiration to dress this weekend. Today we travel to Paris and we meet Typhaine, a beautiful girl with that adorable yet sophisticated allure that only Parisian girls can pull off.
