Cashmere

Weather has been awful lately. What an interesting way of starting a post, huh? But honestly, it really affects all the important facets of life: mood, health… and wardrobe. When half the population is going bonkers with the new collections, the other half is looking miserably through the window because it’s raining cats and dogs, it’s freezing and it’s been Winter for soooo, so long. Therefore, while most blogs talk about Spring collections, we are going to cling to the last sales because yes, we are among that desperate half of the population and now, now is the moment to score a great bargain. Let us ask you a question: How old are you? Because if you are over 28 (which you probably are according to Google Analytics) you need to look for a nice cashmere sweater. This is the moment: sales, no one is looking because, you know, Spring is coming… and it will make your life better. Let us elaborate: It will make your mornings cosier, because even though you just can’t stop …

Trenchcoats

Well, this post should have been called P. needs it, I already have it. A couple of years ago I bought a beautiful Burberry trench with leather details that became immediately my favourite piece. I wear it basically everyday in Autumn. It’s one of the first things I’d save if there was a fire in my house. That’s how much I love it. Lately, we have been looking for a trench that suits P. This is our selection: 1. The classic Burberry trench, of course. It’s obviously an investment, but it’s worth every cent. It’s timeless, it enhaces every silhouette and makes you look like a million dollar. Even if you wear it with jeans and Converse. 2. This light trench could be another option. It has a minimalistic vibe that makes it really cool. The light color is really nice too. 3. P’s favourite. We saw it the other day in a store in Hamburg and it triggered the search of the perfect trench. We both know this is the one she wants, but let’s keep …

Sales!

This week is a joyful one: Summer begins and brings the sales with it! Even though we live in a neverending Autumn/Winter season, we always get excited with sales. It doesn’t matter that we don’t need sandals or light dresses. But! Since we are pragmatic (or maybe boring?), we try to look for basic timeless pieces. These are on our wishlist: 1. A girly dress: Isn’t this colour wonderful? I’m sure it looks gorgeous with a sunkissed skin. They also have it in black, which is also beautiful. 2. A white blazer: I’ve been looking for a white blazer and this one is fantastic. I love the classic cut and the faux snakeskin leather collar. It makes it different but still wearable. 3.  Statement earrings: I usually wear tiny earrings but these ones are so fun and Summerish that  I love them. I probably would feel a little bit Carmen Miranda wearing them, but still. 4.  This dress/shirt is sold out online. But I have to find it! I’ve seen it in lots of magazines and …

Grey

Grey is P.’s favourite colour so she’s super happy that it is so fashionable this season. Grey can be combined with lots of colours but she specially loves mixing it with navy, chocolate and, obviously, black. This season, however, it seems mandatory to pair the softest shades of grey with pastels. Well, I don’t think that is going to happen. P’s wardrobe has an interesting lack of soft colours. Well, colours in general. Maybe a touch of green and mustard, but that’s all. Anyway… grey combines perfectly with those too! 1. The basic. A fantastic cashmere sweater. This is the kind of piece you should invest some money on. 2. This lovely dress from Sandro will be a great adition to anyone’s wardrobe. You can dress it up with pumps and a pretty coat, or dress it down with flats and a biker jacket. 3. If I could, I would buy this hat. This perfect fedora will make every outfit look like a million dollar. 4. This oversize coat by Isabel Marant x H&M is …

The Kooples

The Kooples is one of our favourite brands. We discovered its über cool style during our first trip to Paris a few years ago and sice then we just can’t get enough of it! The Autumn / Winter collection 2012 is just perfect. The fabrics, the sober colours and the cuts are fantastic. They also have very warm coats, so if you live in a cold cold cold city like us, you should give them a try. You can have a look at the collection and maybe buy a little something for you (Oh, c’mon! It’s almost Christmas ;-) )here More lines and pieces we need here
