The slow pace guide to London

You know that London is one of our favourite destinations and if you checked our IG feed yesterday you would have seen a little preview of today’s post. Yes, after lots of long weekends in Marylebone, a couple of wonderful stays discovering the Southbank and a love story with Carnaby Street, we’ve finally decided to  publish The slow pace guide to London. Of course we are not Londoners, but just as we did with our Copenhagen guide, we wanted to share with you a few addresses that we love, hotels where we’ve stayed and other recommendations to savour, enjoy and love London. The slow pace way, of course!

Hotel Skeppsholmen. Stockholm

This is going to be a long post, we warn you. Grab a drink and discover with us this fantastic hotel in the center of Stockholm. We will show you its relaxed atmosphere, some pictures of the incredible food they serve in the restaurant and, of course, expect plenty of rambling about the breakfast buffet.

5 things that should be mandatory in every hotel

Staying in a beautiful hotel is a wonderful experience. We have been lucky enough to stay in some wonderful boutique hotels but there is always room for improvement. These are 5 things we would love to find in every single hotel: – Milk and cookies in the room service menu. This should be absolutely mandatory. How many times have you arrived at a lovely hotel late at night, exhausted yet a little bit peckish and all you wanted was a nice comforting glass of milk and cookies before crawling into bed? Never? Oh well, we have experienced that craving lots of times. Milk and cookies is just the perfect midnight snack and I’m sure lots of guests will appreciate it! – A little courtesy room for that ackward moment when you pick your luggage after making the most of your last morning in your destination and want to rearrange your suitcases. Sometimes you have to do it in the middle of the lobby and it’s not gracious, to say the least. We remember a particularly …

Just breathe: Valle del Baztán

Seated in the porch, admiring the green landscape and listening to the cowbells jingling in the distance I think that this is the perfect destination. Whether you travel with children, solo, with a group of friends or your significant other, this valley will allow you to play hide and seek with reality.

Madrid revisited

Time flies. It’s been almost a month since we visited Madrid! Sometimes we miss this city terribly, that’s why when we come back we never know wether to visit new shops, restaurants, etc, or come back to our usual favourites. Well, this time we stopped for a coffee in our favourite café, we had lunch in our favourite market and stayed in a new hotel that we wanted to check for a long time. Here you have some tips and pictures, if you’d like to see…

A charming Summer: Arles

For those of you who are still or holidays, or even planning your next trip, here you have a nice suggestion: Arles. In this, our fourth installment of our Charming Summer series, we want to share with you a mini guide of Arles, a romantic French town with an impresive historical background and a lively atmosphere.

A charming Summer: Koufonisia

Third installment of our Summer sereies. Why not visiting a charming Greek island off the beaten track? Let’s travel to Koufonisia, the perfect destination for those who seek to relax on their holidays in golden sand beaches, swim on small natural pools of turquoise waters and feast on seafood fresh from the sea.

Moodboard: Madrid

In a couple of weeks we will be flying to Spain to visit friends and family. We just can’t wait! Before heading to the beach, we will be spending a few days in our beloved Madrid. Oh, we miss that city! We lived there for a few years and we always dream about coming back. There is something about Madrid that makes it unique: you always feel welcome. It doesn’t matter where you come from, this city will make you feel at home in no time. We are looking forward to visiting this exhibition, meeting our friends for tapas in La Latina (with a couple of new babies hopefully!) and finally seeing my old coworkers, who I haven’t seen in a long time. But we need your help: any new addresses that we just can’t miss? New restaurants, bars or shops? We would be really thankful if you leave us your tips on the comment section! Thanks a million!
