The sandals

2 degrees this morning. I mean… 2 degrees! We just can’t stand it anymore. We want sun and over 20 degrees temperatures. Is that too much to ask? Since we moved to Germany I think we have been able to wear sandals twice. Twice in four years! Obviously, that doesn’t stop us from browsing our favourite websites and shops in search for the perfect pair. Is there anything happier than two feet with bright toenails inside a pretty pair of sandals? No, there isn’t. We love mixing bright nail polishes with neutral leather sandals and, in order to rock that look, we need this minimalistic but really nice pair of sandals by Whistles. Don’t you love them? We think they can look perfect with just about any outfit. You can dress them up with a nice little black dress or you can simple wear them with shorts (we are talking denim here, of course) and a tee. Well, we will be visiting London soon so a stop in a Whistles branch is guaranteed… Even though we won’t be able to wear them frequently, at …

Direction Marseille

When we like something we stick with it. Fashion wise that can look quite boring, but we  like to think that we are consistent and in tune with our lifestyle. That’s why our favorite brands appear repeatedly on this blog. We are loyal. But how not to when they show us again and again exactly what we want to wear? They seem to get us. We want wearable, discreet, polished but casual and almost monochrome. Sézane has recently presented their Spring collection and we’ve fallen for their delicate shirts, clean lines and amazing sandals. We even love a pair of golden shorts, that even if quite daring, seem like a possible statement for warmer nights.

Thinking about Summer…

Every year in May we head to the beach. A couple of years ago we spent the most wonderful time at Belavista Hotel in Algarve and last year we escaped to Ibiza and Formentera for a couple of weeks of pure relax. So at the moment we are planning this year’s beach getaway. The thing is that around this time of the year our muscles need sun, our skin needs a little bit of salt and our toes need sand. We long for the sound of the seagulls and the smell of coconut lotion mixed with the sea breeze. We basically need to fast forward to Summer. So what are we doing lately to keep up with this beachy anxiety? Look for flights and nice sandals. You know we are all about basics and naturals. While browsing Reef’s website we’ve found some really nice numbers that are just right up our alley. We look for something nice, relaxed and comfortable. Just as Summers should be. And we’ve put together a selection for you (and for …

Summer coordinates

I’ve always liked to match my lipstick and my nail polish.  The towels in my bathroom have the exact same shade as the blue tiles on the wall. The pillows on my sofa have to match the rug under the dining room table….What can I say? I love symmetry. So now that matchy-matchy outfits are back and coordinated bags and shoes are fashionable again, I just can’t be happier. Here you have my Summer coordinates picks amongs the lovely selection of JCrew. From tan leather to stripe fabrics, coordinated bags and shoes always give your look a more polished finish. I know, I know, this is not exactly avant-garde, but it looks pretty and it’s easy to wear. You don’t have to struggle mixing prints or colours! For a lazy dresser like me, this trend ticks all the right boxes.

We need this! Ancient greek sandals

I know that lots of people don’t like to show their feet, models for instance. I’m tired of reading in magazines that top models don’t like their feet. I guess they say something like that because they have to, right? Otherwise they will be perfect and we will hate them. But they don’t fool anyone! Not me! Anyway! I do like my feet and I love sandals. I like wearing them because it usually means I’m on vacation, I’m wearing a nice nail polish and I’m having a good time. Comfy shoes plus holidays. Is there anything better? Well, yes, ice cream between cookies but we alredy talked about that on Monday! Back to our theme today: I’m always looking for the perfect sandals because they are really difficult to find.  Until now. I’ve found them!
