Eiger Gallery

A few weeks ago we met our friend Alba at the London Design Museum cafeteria.  After a cup of coffee (properly instagrammed here) and a little bit of chit chat, she introduced us to her new project. Alba is quite the creative type, so we expected something original, unique. And she didin’t disappoint. Together with Terence Woodgate, designer of lighting and furniture, Alba Bayona is taking jewellery to the next level.

Off to Copenhagen!

We’re off to Copenhagen! Even though this time of the year we usually head to the beach, we are travelling to our beloved Copenhagen to improve our slow-paced guide. Since we know you are here to read nice content, not to read us brag about our next destination, we’ve compiled some old posts that you may have missed! – A fun, colourful Peruvian restaurant in London – Clara closed her blog, but we still follow her on Instagram. Best style ever. – An afternoon in an Italian farmer’s market – The best hair treatment for frizzy hair. – Dreamy Moroccan spas – The coolest backpacks for Summer – Our favourite area in Amsterdam – We are crazy about this collection! – Looking for an off the beaten track destination? – Have you ever done this? – Last year’s beauty favourites that are still going strong – The best recipe for barbacue season. – Tips to discover a different Ibiza – My Venice.

Spuntino, London

27 stools and a popcorn machine. That’s all we knew about Spuntino. Quite intriguing, no? A couple of weeks ago we decided to look for this tiny restaurant in Soho. We found its discreet entrance and we saw the 27 stools and the pop corn machine. We came in, we ordered almost everything on the menu (we ate popcorn as well, obviusly) and we decided Spuntino was going to be a new favorite in London. Another favourite restaurant in London you ask? Well, yes. When you see the mac and cheese and the steak and egg, you’ll understand.

What’s new, London?

You know what they say: when man is tired of London, he is tired of life. Well, we can’t agree more. London always offers something new, interesting and exciting. No matter how many times we visit London, we are always surprised: by an exhibition, a restaurant, a trend, a view… It can definitely be overwhelming but with the help of our friends and a slow-paced (wink!) approach, we try to take it easy and let the city surprise us. If you follow us on Instagram you probably know that we spent last weekend in London. So here you have the mandatory post with are our latest discoveries in this fascinating city:

Best of 2014

2014 has been a bittersweet year. We’ve had some wonderful times, but we’ve lived some really tough moments too. All in all we’ve learnt a lot. Since we want to focus on the positive, we’ve put together a list of our favourite moments of 2014.

Señor Ceviche

Here we are: the last mmm… Monday of the year! Today we go back to London, to Kingly Court in particular, which has become the place to go for a fun bite. Several new restaurants have joined forces to create a new foodie spot in the heart of London. We followed Rosie’s recommendation and had lunch at Señor Ceviche.

This Christmas…

We would love to… Have cup of hot chocolate in Angelina Paris and then go for a long afternoon walk in Montmartre. Skate along the frozen Dutch canals in Kinderdijk. Experience an authentic Winter wonderland dream in Putevny, Czech Republic. Indulge to high tea in London (at the Claridge’s, if posible). Ski in Switzerland (that means watch other people skiing while we sip a hot chocolate mocktail in a cosy wooden cabin). Wander through the almost deserted alleys in Venice. Observe the Northern lights in Lapland. Go Christmas shopping in Copenhagen. Take my mum to Scotland for a whiskey tasting. Visit all the traditional cafes in Vienna and eat lots of Dobos Torte… or escape from the cold weather and head to the Canary Islands. A girl can dream! Roast, London

During our last London getaway we followed Rachel advice and had breakfast at Roast. After strolling around Borough Market we decided to have a second (yes, second) breakfast and we enjoyed a fantastic quiet morning overlooking the market.

Weekend style icons: Julia

We’ve just discovered Julia thanks to Alba, the designer of our beloved AB Jewellery, and it’s been love at first sight. And by just I mean yesterday! Alba announced on her Facebook that she was meeting her and we got super curious. Alba is one of our references when it comes to trend spotting so we had the feeling we will love Julia’s blog. And we did! We’ve been browsing Stylonylon all morning and we thought we absolutely have to share it with you. In a few hours she’s become one of our favorite bloggers ever! She is a photographer, writer and pretty much everything what we would love to be.
