Thinking about Christmas presents?

So, have you thought about Christmas presents or do you leave them for a little bit of last minute paranoia fun? We usually gravitate towards the latter, but this year we’ve been very good and we’ve already bought a few gifts for friends and family.  Thanks, Black Friday deals. But do you know what we would never choose as a present? A perfume.  It’s something so personal, however just in the UK 49% of all perfume sales take place in November and December. Perfumes are a very popular Christmas present but we still don’t know how you can get the scent right, even for someone you love and know very well… Maybe the fact that one out of two commercials during the months of November and December is dedicated to some kind of perfume has something to do with that huge increase in sales? By the way, we love how brands tie perfumes to ideals and types of people. It’s fascinating. I could never be a Dolce & Gabbana perfume girl, because I will never identify myself …

A scent for Christmas

On Monday we shared with you one of our favourite Christmas’ scents: spicy, buttery, dip in white chocolate cookies fresh from the oven (recipe here!). Today, following with the Christmas aromas theme, we wanted to introduce you to a wonderful cologne that could be a great present for Christmas. Jo Malone is one of our favourite brands: we love its philosophy (the scents are made to be mixed with each other) and the fragances are always unconventional. Besides, it’s very easy to find the one for you: they have different categories (citrus, floral, spicy…) so that you can quickly and easily gravitate to the bouquet that you prefer. This one on the picture is our absolute favourite: Nectarine Blossom and Honey. I think this is our third bottle! It’s the right amount of fruity, not overly sweet and a tad spicy. Just perfect. Even one of our best friends couldn’t resist and bought one during her last visit! But we also love the Wood Sage and Sea Salt cologne, a quintesessential Wintery scent.  It smells like cosy afternoons by …

The Christmas on the sofa edit

So, we’ve shared with you some beautiful party dresses and the sexiest shoes to get you ready for your Christmas parties. But since we have no social live and we love the granny lifestyle, today we want to show you a more accurate version of our holiday wardrobe: 1. A fluffly soft robe. This is essential to keep you warm and hide your I’ve had chocolate for breakfast belly. 2. We need this tee. Just because we are addicted to Instagram. (By the way, follow us here). 3. A natural remedy to get a better sleep. Because after spending ten hours on the sofa, the bed doesn’t look that appealing. 4. JCrew flannel pajamas. The tartan version is also on our wishlist. Have you heard, Santa???? 5. The perfect lounge pants. Relaxed, soft, baggy… plus elasticated waistband. 6. A cute pair of slippers. Shoes are key in every outfit. Always. 7. The best candle for a Christmassy atmosphere. It does count as an accessory. 8. And more cute slippers because we couldn’t choose just one pair.

Fragrance wardrobe

We’ve used the same fragances for years. For her, by Narciso Rodriguez for P. and Le Feau Light by Issey Miyake for me. P. still uses the famous velvety scent by Narciso Rodriguez but my beloved perfume was discontinued three years ago. Drama. Why oh why did they discontinue that wonderful fresh scent? Since then, I’ve been using Jo Malone’s Nectarine Blossom & Honey Cologne mostly. But recently we’ve discovered our mutual passion for masculine aromas. They are susually lighter, fresher and more vibrant than most women fragances, which we usually find too sweet or too powerful.
