Today we are heading back to Germany. Sad face. Our Spanish holidays are over. Super sad face. We’ve had a great time with our family and friends and now it’s time to go back home and get used to our routine. We’ll miss the joyful days at the beach in Cádiz with our family, the vibrant life in Madrid, the reunions with old friends in the rooftops of Seville and the lazy days full of laughters in Málaga. This time of the year usually seems to be a new beginning: back from holidays you are supposed to have the energy to face new challenges and projects. That’s how I feel every year for August and September are my January. Not this time, though. I really don’t know how I’m going to cope with work, that terrible German weather and the constant fear of missing important moments of our family and friend’s life. Any ideas? How do you get over this difficult back to reality time? Image via HonestlyWTF
Wether you are reading this from your office, your sofa or a nice sunbed in a wonderful beach, I’m sure you will enjoy a little getaway to one of the most beautiful islands of the Mediterranean. Cyprus, the island of Aphrodite, lies sensually between three continents: Europe, Asia and Africa and faces the shores of Siria, Turkey and Lebanon. As you can imagine, its geographic proximity to such different cultures has made Cyprus the perfect culture kaleidoscopie.
Today we are leaving our little wooden house in Bremen and we are heading to our sunny back yard in Madrid! Yay! Weirdly enough, the weather has been amazing the last days here, so we will miss the lazy picnics and the walks by the river, activities that we love to do in this little town, but are only possible in those few days when the sun shines. Anyway, our friends and family wait for us in Spain. Crazy days in Madrid, long walks in the fantastic beaches of Cádiz and lots of laughs in Málaga. We just can’t wait! We will keep you updated via Twitter and Instagram. Hope to see you there!
Finally, here you have our Portuguese photo diary!!! I warn you: this post is all about sun, food, sea and good massages. It doesn’t get deeper than that!
I’ve always wanted to go on a cruise. Maybe it has to do with my childhood obsession with The love boat TV series (I secretly wanted to grow up and become just like Julie). I love the idea of enjoying life surrounded by the sea, sunbathing all day long sipping a fruity cocktail and visiting different cities without having to pack and unpack… and pack again. It’s perfect! But I don’t see myself in one of those huge cruise ships full of people that I don’t know and, let’s face it, that probably I won’t like. I’m in my 30s. I know I’m antisocial by now.
Sometimes I dream about being a very healthy balanced yoga kind of person. But I’m not. I’m a quite nervous, chocaholic, Ihategoingtothegym person. But in my fantasies, when I’m that yogui I book my holidays in advance and go to a place like the SHA wellness clinic. Seriously, this place is a dream. You can go there on holidays and a doctor tells you what to eat to loose some weight or just detox, they have the best proffesionals to help you quit smoking, sleep better or make you look, and apparently feel, younger (and I’m not only talking about your skin). And besides they have this pool. It’s a win-win. Who knows? Maybe I surprise myself one they and become that kind of person… Look at that posture! We’re back in Germany. It rains. We get up at 7 a.m. again. We’re back in our gloomy offices. Let’s face it. Holidays are over. This year Christmas was particularly nice for both of us. It was a time for family, friends, tons of food and celebrations. Just like it should. We have chosen some of our phone pics to remember those wonderful times.
Merry Christmas!!!!! We hope you have a wonderful time with your family and friends!!!! The slow pace Image via Pinterest
I’m leaving on Sunday, so this is the end of In my suitcase series – Chistmas edition. And the best way to finish these series is with a nice holiday dress, don’t you think? It’s the perfect cherry on top! This is a dress that I received just today. I have to admit that Chriselle gave me the idea. I saw it on her blog and I bought it immediately. It’s girly, super warm and has lovely festive vibe without being too Christmassy. You can buy it (on sale!) here. Other items in my suitcase, if you’d like to see: The perfect PJs Chistmas jumpers Gorgeous earrings And a warm tartan scarf
I can’t imagine a Christmas suitcase without huge cosy Christmas jumpers. They are nice and comfortable and you just wonder if you could always live in them, but then you remember your beautiful blazers and tops and know that Christmas jumpers are perfect but just for Christmas. It’s just like staying with your parents at Christmas, great but just for Christmas, right? Anyway, this one in the picture is from Lot78, but I couldn’t pick up only one, so here you have my selection.
