Since the year is coming to an end, I wanted to share an honest update on my capsule wardrobe and the resolution I made in January about buying no more than one piece for my wardrobe each month. Last time we spoke about this it was May and things were going pretty great. You can read the post here if you want to know why I wanted to edit my wardrobe and shop more consciously. In May I did buy something. A pair of Mango trousers. But it was a bad purchase. It was so warm when we visited Madrid and we were going to Ibiza afterwards (by the way, we made a slow-paced weekend guide to Ibiza if you want to have a look!) and I just wanted some kind of flowy, comfortable pants. So one afternoon, walking around town with my mum, I made that impromptu purchase. The pants are nice and I like them, they were a fun way of incorporating the ruffle pant trend in a subtle way. But in spite …
In this corner of the world we really have a very short window of time to wear anything but boots. However, this year’s crazy weather -which by the way makes me really worried about global warming- has allowed us to put on hold our Chelsea boots / snow boots / wellies and enjoy a wonderful shoe stravaganza.
Last December I decided to profit the Black Friday sales and bought this bag. THE bag.
During the last months we’ve been purchasing some new pieces to improve our Spring/Summer wardrobe. While we rather spend our money in plane tickets and boutique hotels, we like a bit o shopping every now and then. However, we’ve noticed a pattern, a monochrome pattern to be exact.
So I have a red hat. Not big news, I know, but I just love my red hat so much that I decided to post about it. Because it’s Wednesday and it’s been a difficult week and there are really terrible things happening in the world and I just don’t know how to cope with it.
If you have been here before, you’ll know that we love this brand. Their lookbooks are always subtle, smart and irrisistibly French. We’ve been on a strict shopping diet for a while, but since Autumn is our favourite season and we feel we need a fresh start, we might as well start this renovation process in our wardrobes.
Even though all I see while browsing though Instagram are palm trees, white sandy beaches and lots of bikinis, I’m already looking forward to Autumn. Maybe too soon? Well, the days are shorter now, the air is fresher and last week, instead of making the most of the sales, I found myself with this hat in my hands. Autumn has always been my favourite season, what can I say? I look forward to wearing my trench with loafers, bundling up in warm pijamas for long lazy Sunday mornings… And, to be honest, these three launches are making September look much more interesting!
This is an ode to black and denim. If you happen to love one of them (or both) here you have your inspiration for the weekend: Rima or Fire on the head.
The weather this week has been COLD. We have a couple of very warm coats that are really practical but, let’s face it, they make us look like Eskimos. While looking for some coats online (let’s see if we can find something super warm yet stylish. Difficult task!) we discovered Kayla’s blog, Not your standard. Apparently she lives in Berlin, so she has to understand the terrible German weather, and she has a quite impressive coat collection. Besides, she is the epitome of beautiful glowy skin. Winter inspiration much?
Hello Friday! This week has gone by miraculously fast. I don’t know if that’s good or bad but… Anyway! Here we are with a little bit of fashion inspiration for the weekend. Labèriane is the girl behind The Blab, a pretty cool site we discovered not so long ago. Wait for edgy outfits, different cuts and Carine Rotifeld-esque kind of looks.
