Cock’s and Cows

Do you remember when we visited Copenhagen back in May? We stayed at the wonderful SP34 hotel. We had a great time but we didn’t get the chance of trying the award-winning burgers of the restaurant located in the hotel, Cock’s and Cows. Finally, a couple of weeks ago during our last holidays in Copenhagen, we had lunch in the first Cock’s and Cows that opened its doors in Copenhagen. Their success was so big that they have now opened two more branches in the city (one of them placed in the aforementioned SP34 hotel and the other one located in Osterbro district). We wanted to see where everything started, so one windy, cold Friday we took shelter in this cool restaurant and finally tried its burgers. Of course we took some pictures, if you’d like to see…

Spuntino, London

27 stools and a popcorn machine. That’s all we knew about Spuntino. Quite intriguing, no? A couple of weeks ago we decided to look for this tiny restaurant in Soho. We found its discreet entrance and we saw the 27 stools and the pop corn machine. We came in, we ordered almost everything on the menu (we ate popcorn as well, obviusly) and we decided Spuntino was going to be a new favorite in London. Another favourite restaurant in London you ask? Well, yes. When you see the mac and cheese and the steak and egg, you’ll understand.

A secret kitchen

Today there are no food pictures. How come will you ask… it’s mmm…Monday! Well, today it’s all about mystery. In Amsterdam we enjoyed one of the funniest, more exciting dinners of our lives. But we can’t show you any pictures or give you much more information because it took place in a secret kitchen!

Our bar cart

We’ve always wanted to have a nice bar cart. It feels kind of decadent, fancy and fun at the same time. We got this old bar cart from a second hand shop and as soon as we saw it we fell in love. It had that rustic vibe that we wanted for our home and the fading colour was perfect for our living room.

Sticks and sushi, London

A few weeks ago we enjoyed a night out in London which involved a traditional British wine bar and a fantastic Japanese restaurant. Globalization, huh? We ate the most delicios Ebi bites and drank Sake cockails… but I’m getting ahead of myself. Let’s start from the beginning: Gordon’s Wine Bar, the oldest wine bar in London.

Dublin diary: friends, design shops, parks and amazing pizzas

Last weekend we visited our friends T. and G. in Dublin and we had the BEST time. The weather was fantastic (bearing in mind it was October and Dublin), the company couldn’t have been funnier and the city was amazing. We visited Dublin a couple of years ago and we have to admit that back then we didn’t really liked it. But this time we really loved it and enjoyed it. We shared with you some pics via instagram (@theslowpace) but we thought we could show you a little bit more about our Irish experience, which involved a fair amount of cocktails, long walks, great conversations and hipster pizzas.
