My top five eye shadow palettes

There are two things I can’t get enough off: chocolate and eyeshadow palettes. Chocolate is all over the blog and over the last few years I’ve shared a few reviews of my favorite eyeshadow palettes in this space. I’m always a little bit ashamed of talking so enthusiastically about them, or make up in general for that matter, but surprisingly beauty posts always bring new followers to the blog. I guess I’ve heard so many times that liking makeup or fashion makes you automatically dumb, that the thought has got into my shead and I’m afraid of sharing my passion for lovely ranges of colors exposed beautifully in little, flat boxes. I tend to lose my personality sometimes, sorry. There are people that go crazy about color palettes. There are blogs and websites completely dedicated to them! Every December there is a color of the year chosen among the Pantone. For me, eyeshadow palettes are wonderful Pantone displays that happen to look fantastic when applied to my lids (Though it depends on the amount of …

Chanel Le Rouge Collection : Candeur et experience

So Autumn is here and it’s time to revisit the usual suspects: tartan, berry lips, pumpkin lattes and velvet. I love the crispy air and the traditions that come with it, so I can’t be more excited. However, this year Autumn brings something new beautywise, Le Rouge Collection by Chanel. And what did I pick from the whole collection? An eyeshadow quad, of course. The beautiful Candeur et experience multi effect quadra eyeshadow. After reading lots of reviews I decided to buy it but obviously it wasn’t that easy. Finally I did find it during a short layover in Amsterdam Schiphol airport (one day we’ll have to talk about the correlation between the number of layovers per year and the number of beauty products bought per year). Hurrah! It was mine! All I had to do was wait until any occasion to wear red, brown, warm eyes. I didn’t find it because the weather has been quite nice, oddly enough, and I ‘m trying to make the most of the sun and the Summer colours …

In my suitcase: Holiday make up

Tomorrow we are flying back home for Christmas and we couldn’t be more excited. Our suitcases are almost finished, the only thing that we haven’t prepared is our make up bag. Here you have some products that we are taking with us… and some others that we wish we could add last minute to look our best this Christmas: 1. Adult Content Blush Palette by NARS. This is a limited edition with the four iconic NARS blush and highlighting blush shades. I’m hoping to get hold of it in Spain, since they don’t sell NARS products here. 2. Le Teint Touche Èclat: my favourite foundation to achieve glowing skin. 3. No 7 Skin Illuminator Fluid: perfect to add that extra yet subtle glow without being too shimmery. 4. Ombres Matelassées: limited edition eyeshadow palette by Chanel with the most beautiful colours to get several effects, from the glamourous shimmer to the matte finish. This is what I’ll be looking for at the duty free tomorrow! 5. The Porefessional by Benefit. I use it every day. …

Summer nails

I hate nail art. I know it’s something that everyone is loving nowadays, but I hate it. I find it a little bit tacky and for someone like me, who just likes red, pink and coral shades in her nails, it’s just too much. Even though I’m quite classic when it comes to my nails, in Summer I go a little bit crazier, just like everyone else, and go for brighter shades and I even love a little bit of dark blue on my toes. These are my favourite nail polishes for Summer, if you’d like to see.

Chanel’s Boy

From the creators of We need the Mulberry Willow tote and We need the Givenchy Antigona bag… We need the Boy from Chanel!!! I’m still searching my It bag, that timeless investment, that beauty which will dress up all my outfits… and deciding which one to buy is almost impossible. But this Boy is unexpectedly rising on my list. In such a short period of time it has become a classic already, isn’t it? I love the black leather version, but the velvet jewel tones are so pretty… Decisions, decisions…
