This is the first time in our lives that we were on vacation and we didn’t want to leave the hotel. We just couldn’t. Everything was so beautiful, calm and inviting that wahtever was outside its doors simply didn’t matter.
Placed in one of the most popular tourist destinations in Algarve, Belavista Hotel & Spa, is without any doubt the best hotel in the region. The hotel overlooks Praia da Rocha, one of the most impressive beaches of the Algarve. Everything here invites to relax and feel happy and pampered without any care in the world. After a terrible Winter and a rainy Spring, we needed sun, cocktails and massages. And that’s what we had!

16 MayHave a sunny weekend!
10 MayThis is a scheduled post because hopefully when you read this we will be lying on the beach… just like the woman on the picture ;) I always take my favourite pillows to the beach, don’t you?
We wanted to wish you a happy sunny weekend!!! Any nice Spring plans? A picnic maybe? Wherever you are and whoever you are: enjoy the weekend!!!
PS: we are on Twitter!! To be honest I don’t understand how it really works, but I’m doing my best to learn! Do you want to hang out? Look for @theslowpaceblog :)

Next stop: Algarve
9 MayDo you remeber that last year we spontaneously decided to go to Bruges and it turned out one of the most charming trips we’ve ever made? Well, it looks like May is our unexpected-destinations-and-travels month! As you read this we will be flying to the South of Portugal!!!
Some years ago we used to go every Summer to a music festival in Alentejo (clic) but we’ve never visited Algarve before and we are absolutely excited about it. To be honest, it wasn’t one of our top destinations but it just happened and we are going to make the most of it! Those beaches! Sigh! We’re planning on reading by the swimmingpool, taking long walks on the beach and eating tons of fish and fresh fruits.
We only hope that the cloud that followed us to Mallorca and Paris decides to stay in Germany this time. We’ll see…
Bye bye!!!!

Hotel Balanguera, Palma de Mallorca
26 AprWhen we decided to visit Palma we were looking for a nice boutique hotel with personality. Being Palma such a tourist destination we didn’t want to end up in a huge hotel full of noisy drunk people. And we were lucky because we found a little gem. Hotel Balanguera is a heaven of peace with an impressive design.
Mallorca photo diary
24 Apr
Last week we spent a few days in Mallorca and although the weather wasn’t as good as we had expected we had a great time. We came to the conclusion that there is a German cloud that follows us everywhere we go. Some people have pets, we have a cloud.
Anyway, here you have some pictures and recommendations if you’d like to see…

Mallorca here we come!
18 AprThis Winter has been terrible: lots of snow and lots of work. It felt just… long. And dark. And long. We were really tired of grey skies and rainy weekends so… we’re off to Mallorca!!! Sun, please shine bright!
Mallorca is a very special place for us and we’re meeting one of our dearest friends there, so it’s going to be a great Spring getaway! We are so happy!
PS: we will visit one of our beloved secret places!

Snapshots, pizza, a japanese restaurant and a few cocktails
4 AprLong waiting hours at the airport are better if you have tons of magazines. In fact, reading magazines is one of my favourite things to do on a plane. That and snacking! Oh, and snacking while reading magazines… that’s the bomb! I always choose travel magazines and gossip magazines (guilty pleasure that I only practise on holidays, I swear). That Time you see in the picture is not mine, is hers. She is the intellectual part of the couple ;)
We need this! Carolinne Issa for LK Bennett
27 MarCaroline Issa is one of our style icons. We love her warm joyful smile, her characteristic long dark hair and her impeccable style. We knew we were going to love her shoe collection for LK Bennett. And we do.
Off to Spain!
26 MarHolidays… at last! A week full of friends, family and great food! I’d love to say that we will find sun and warm temperatures too, but the weather forecast says it’s going to rain the whole week… Nervous breakdown. The Weather God is anything but mercy to us! Anyway, as long as we are in Spain we don’t care! :)
