Egg whites omelette

During the last few weeks we’ve been trying to exercise more and eat less sugar, carbs and fat. It’s been awful. But, on the positive side, we’ve discovered a couple of recipes that are extremily delicious and quite appropriate for our new fitness journey. This one is our favourite.

The red hat

So I have a red hat. Not big news, I know, but I just love my red hat so much that I decided to post about it. Because it’s Wednesday and it’s been a difficult week and there are really terrible things happening in the world and I just don’t know how to cope with it.

Red cabbage salad

To say that we love a good salad is an understatement. They are the easiest thing to prepare if you come home late from work, they are packed with vitamins and nutrients and if you find good quality, seasonal ingredients and add the appropriate dressing, a salad can be a wonderful joy to your tastebuds. Today we wanted to share with you the salad that we’ve been having for dinner at least a couple of times this week.

Where to travel in 2016

The other day I stumbled upon an article on The Telegraph about the hot destinations for 2016. Already? But we still have a lot of time until Christmas. Wait a minute! Christmas is around the corner! And with Christmas comes the urge to review all the things we’ve done and all the things we want to do next year. Travelwise, our year has been completely different from what we planned. Look at this article we posted on December 2015… We never travelled to Mallorca or Rome, but we did manage to visit Stockholm. Only in March, not in Summer. And we did visit Berlín and Seville but this year we won’t be able to visit London in Christmas.

The Autumn edit by Nails Inc

During a short visit to Sephora in Copenhagen I spotted a cute box with this three beautiful Autumn shades, which were part of the Autumn Alexa Chung collection for NailsInc. I loved it… but didn’t buy it. Obviously, I regreted it afterwards. That’s so me. But on my birthday someone thoughtfully remembered that I wanted it and got it for me. Insert heart eyes emoji here. I’ve been using these three shades on repeat. Not only are the colours gorgeous, as you can see, but the formula is outsanding. I’d say it’s the best one I’ve ever tried! It’s really longlasting, the application can’t be easier and the color is ridiculously rich. Oddly enough my favourite shade is that dark green with grey-ish undertones. It’s called Battersea Park and it looks smarter than I would have thought. Instagram Exhibit A. Grosvenor Crescent is a deep aubergine shade that was the star of my Halloween week. Instagram Exhibit B. And finally you have the sweet pink/light browk, Uptown. My least favourite of the pack, but still pretty lovely. …

Moroccan eggs

This dish could be a hearty breakfast or a light lunch/dinner. Either way it has become a favourite in our house. It’s delicious, fulfilling and it takes just a few minutes to prepare. Perfect for those days when you have a little extra time for breakfast or for those nights when you want something comforting but you don’t feel like cooking too much. It’s Moroccan inspired, so its spices will warm up your Autumn!

The slow pace guide to London

You know that London is one of our favourite destinations and if you checked our IG feed yesterday you would have seen a little preview of today’s post. Yes, after lots of long weekends in Marylebone, a couple of wonderful stays discovering the Southbank and a love story with Carnaby Street, we’ve finally decided to  publish The slow pace guide to London. Of course we are not Londoners, but just as we did with our Copenhagen guide, we wanted to share with you a few addresses that we love, hotels where we’ve stayed and other recommendations to savour, enjoy and love London. The slow pace way, of course!

Hammam, by Rituals

Do you remember my thoughts on Spinning? Well, one of the few reasons why I like it (sort of) is that glorious shower that comes afterwards. You enter the shower feeling all miserable and achy and go out refreshed and relaxed. Actually, I’d say that’s my favourite thing about sports. That and the feeling of “oh, it doesn’t matter I just went to the gym” when you’ve just finished your third (meaning thirteenth) cookie. You needed the sugar, after all. For that “I’m a new person” shower we’ve been using the Hamam line by Rituals and it’s so good and we love it so much that we had to talk about it to the void/ auditorium that the Internet is. We started using the Hamam hot scrub, which is simply a spa in a jar. And then we added the shower paste. Let me describe the scrub: it smells deliciously minty with a tad of ginger, it’s the right amount of rough (salt scrubs are the best I think) and leaves your skin super moisturised. It …

Mushroom and mountain cheese toast

This weekend we’ve tried to recreate one of the delicious open faced sandwiches that we ate in September at Almanak, a fantastic restaurant in Copenhagen. We loved the combination of the mushrooms, the cheese and the garlic. So seasonal and comforting. While the result wasn’t exactly the same, it was still delicious. So here you have the recipe, if case you’d like to try it at home…
