Year: 2014

Roast, London

During our last London getaway we followed Rachel advice and had breakfast at Roast. After strolling around Borough Market we decided to have a second (yes, second) breakfast and we enjoyed a fantastic quiet morning overlooking the market.

Weekend style icons: Julia

We’ve just discovered Julia thanks to Alba, the designer of our beloved AB Jewellery, and it’s been love at first sight. And by just I mean yesterday! Alba announced on her Facebook that she was meeting her and we got super curious. Alba is one of our references when it comes to trend spotting so we had the feeling we will love Julia’s blog. And we did! We’ve been browsing Stylonylon all morning and we thought we absolutely have to share it with you. In a few hours she’s become one of our favorite bloggers ever! She is a photographer, writer and pretty much everything what we would love to be.

Where to travel in 2015?

This week we’ve done two quizzes to guess where we should travel in 2015. This one in the Lonely Planet web says we have to go to Singapore (we both got the same result!) but the quiz in the AFAR website claims that I should experience art in Paris and P. has to recharge in India. Well, we’ve never thought about visiting Singapore to be honest. Maybe we should, apparently it matches our personality, go figure! But Paris is always a good idea. India, on the contrary, scares us. In any case, our travel plans for 2015 are quite different: In February we are planning to spend a weekend in Mallorca. We want to go back to Serra de Tramuntana, eat in Ca Na Toneta and remember a little trip we did five years ago to prepare our destination wedding. If you are curious you can have a look at the posts we did about our wedding here and here. We don’t want to miss The Hive in April. The Hive is the blogger conference that we couldn’t attend …

We need this! Bionda Castana

Even though we always wear flats, we love a good high heel. Since I saw a girl exhibit her heels on her bookcase like a little beautiful sculputure I’ve always thought that could be a good use for high heels. Walking? Not so much. Well, these shoes are bookcase exhibition material. And they are sexy, really sexy. Those cuts, the dainty lace, the super high heels… Bionda Castana creates sexy yet elegant luxury shoes. And now we wish we could have a pair looking beautiful among our books. Oh, and they have just launched a custom made service. That could be a pretty amazing Christmas gift, don’t you think? PS.: A delicious pair of flats.

Moodboard: Lapland

I’m sure you were expecting this moodboard. If you have checked our blog lately you must have seen lots of Christmas posts. Well, our Moodboard section is also impregnated with the Christmassy mood!! But who hasn’t dreamed about Christmas trip to Lapland? For me, it’s one of those things you have to do at least once in your life. At Christmas, of course. While it would be the perfect surprise for any kid, I’m sure it could be equally amazing for adults. Snow, dogs reindeers and Santa.  Cabins, sauna and cocktails by the fire. Woods, nature and freezing cold. That’s how every Christmas should look like! What about you? Any Christmas trips on your bucket list?

Christmas milk punch

After three very busy weekends, we finally got to spend a nice peaceful weekend at home. We wanted to light candles, watch House of Cards and eat tons of chocolate. Not only did we do all that, but we also tried a new cocktail recipe. It was creamy, sweet and Christmassy. Just what we needed to curl up under the blanket and relax.

Family holidays

Christmas means family gatherings and let’s face it: as much as we love our families, they could be difficult sometimes (to say the least). Coping with family stress is one of the most usual problems during the holiday season, so why not go on a little Christmas adventure? A different environment may help and, well, if you have an argument with your mother/ father/ aunt/ cousin/ brother, you can always go for a walk afterwards and discover a new place!

DIY Christmas Cards

It’s that time of the year again: Christmas card DIY!!! Last year you really liked our Christmas cards so we thought: why not share again the easiest DIY ever? I’m not particularly crafty. In fact, I’m quite clumsy but every year, one afternoon at the end of November, I play Christmas carols and make our Christmas cards. I’d say that’s one of my favorite moments of the year. It’s not a secret: I love Christmas! And this is the only time of the year when I feel like using washi tape and that makes me feel connected with the world. Seriously, what other use can you give to washi tape?
