A few weeks ago we enjoyed a night out in London which involved a traditional British wine bar and a fantastic Japanese restaurant. Globalization, huh? We ate the most delicios Ebi bites and drank Sake cockails… but I’m getting ahead of myself. Let’s start from the beginning: Gordon’s Wine Bar, the oldest wine bar in London.

We met our dear friend Alba to have some drinks and talk about blogs, brands and living in London. She also revealed some secrets about the new pieces of her amazing jewellery line, which we showed you afterwards, of course! (click!). We had a great time in this authentic, strange and crowded wine bar. We didn’t have a cheese platter, but they sure looked delicious. Maybe next time…

We were seated inside these (kind of creepy) cellars, but we promised to come back to enjoy London’s nice weather on the terrace. Alba almost convinced us to move to London (not much work needed to do so, anyway) so we might come back sooner than expected… After our lovely meeting we headed to Sticks’n’Sushi, because we were craving japanese food. We had read a lot of nice opinions about this restaurant so we were excited to try the food and the cocktails!

These are the Ebi bites I told you before. They were unbelievably good. We devoured them… and immediately ordered another plate. They were that good. Crispy and spicy. With a fantastic sauce and a touch of lime.

A little bit of fresh sashimi and the creamiest tuna tartare to follow…

But no visit to any Japanese restaurant can’t be finished without a roll! We went for the Ebi panko roll, because we just love tempura shrimps and avocado.

And it was time for dessert! We chose the chocolate fondant and the crème brûlée in the smallest size. I think it’s really nice that you can ask for a small dessert. It calms your sweet tooth but it doesn’t felt bad. It’s just a cute tiny portion, right?

To be honest the chocolate fondant was disappointing, but the crème brûlée was amazing. Everything was washed down with more than one Saketini, ehem.
All in all, it was a very nice evening. We recommend Sticks’n’sushi for a fun night out. It’s an excelent place to get in the mood for a dance!
