Ada Palace Hotel, Madrid

Every time we visit Madrid we want to make the most of it: see all our friends, go to the theater, chek out the exhibitions and eat in all our favourite restaurants. In order to do that, we try to spend at least a couple of days in the city center. Last Summer we booked a hotel that was not very nice… but this time we made a great choice: the Ada Palace Hotel.

Location was essential for us and this hotel can’t have a better one. Placed just at the beginning of Gran Vía, quite closed to Cibeles Square, is great to explore the city. The bus that connects the city center with the airport has a stop nearby, so if you travel with two huge suitcases, like we do, it’s perfect to get to and from the airport easily. (Tip: that bus is great to get to the city center from the airport, better than the tube or the train! And definitely cheaper than a taxi!).
But if we have to pick the best feature of the hotel, that would be the views. Those pictures that you have seen were taken from our room. Fantastic, aren’t they? The rooms were tastefully decorated, with classic furniture and opulent fabrics.

In the upper floor of the hotel you can find the breakfast lounge, which is beautiful, comfortable and quiet. Just what you need when you get up super early and you haven’t had your cup of coffee yet. Breakfast was good. Not the best breakfast we’ve ever had but it was very nice. And the coffee was great, though.

This floor has a British style bar that serves cool cocktails and in Summer you can enjoy one of the best terraces of Madrid with breathtaking views of the city.
To sum up, this hotel offers a great service, the best location and comfortable beautiful rooms. If you visit Madrid, this could be a great option. We totally recommend it!

Bonus: if you stay at this hotel, you should have dinner at Janatomo followed by a Strawberry Daiquiri at Del Diego.

  1. What a gorgeous looking hotel. The view from the bedroom must have been stunning to see in real life. Lucky you for having such a lovely city to visit.

    • The view was amazing and quite a surprise, actually. We didn’t expect to have a room with that view, to be honest. We were super lucky! :)
