As you know, we spent las weekend in Copenhagen. Since it was a very last minute decision we didn’t have time to look for a hotel the way we usually do, that is, looking in thousand webs, comparing, reading all the reviews etc. But we were really lucky to find a free room at the Scandic Front.
The room was really nice and comfy and it had a lovely lateral view over the water. The bed was amazing and we slept like babyes. A much needed rest after a couple of weeks with little time to sleep. All minimalistic, the design was an ode to Nordic style with colourful accents. The bathroom was super nice. And super clean, that’s important! The shower was huge, I always love that.
The lobby had a huge chalkboard were guest were invited to write or draw something. Such fun! We didn’t do it because we were shy, but someone named Rosa obviously wasn’t! ;) The hotel bar was lovely and the staff was super nice. To be honest all people in Copenhagen seemed super nice.
Breakfast was good. The selection of organic cheeses was delicious and so it was the organic crepes with Nutella. I only missed a little bit more of choice in the Danish pastries area. I have a terrible sweet tooth, what can I say?
We only regret not having spent more days in Copenhagen to enjoy a little bit more the Scandic experience. We highly recommend this hotel mainly because its fantastic location: closed to the Nyhavn canal, opposite Copenhagen’s contemporary Opera House and a very pleasant walking distance from the top attractions of Copenhagen.
