The island between three continents

cyprus

Wether you are reading this from your office, your sofa or a nice sunbed in a wonderful beach, I’m sure you will enjoy a little getaway to one of the most beautiful islands of the Mediterranean. Cyprus, the island of Aphrodite, lies sensually between three continents: Europe, Asia and Africa and faces the shores of Siria, Turkey and Lebanon. As you can imagine, its geographic proximity to such different cultures has made Cyprus the perfect culture kaleidoscopie.

Surrounded by a sparkling blue Mediterranean sea, Cyprus offers the most beautiful coastline. The visitor can enjoy secluded bays, lively resorts, sandy beaches and rocky coves. This family-run hotel offers great luxury and breathtaking views on Paphos’ Mediterranean sea front. It would be a great home abroad and the perfect place to enjoy the amazing diversity of the Cyprus’ coast. But if you look for a more lively time in Cyprus, you should go for the So White boutique suites, an incredible designer hotel with amazing VIP parties.

Choirokoitia, one of the best preserved sites of a prehistoric settlement found in the Eastern Mediterranean, the exquisite floor mosaics of the Roman villas, ancient Greek plays performed in a Roman theatre with the most spectacular view on a cliff overlooking the sea, many fine examples of Byzantine art… Cyprus has a lot to offer.

And… I have saved the best for last: food ;) Cypriot food is the epitome of the Mediterranean cuisine. Once again, the multicultural influences add the perfect mix of spices to season the most delicious fresh local ingredients. Imagine the fantastic Greek cuisine with a hint of the Middle East and Asia Minor. What about a Souvlakia ( Cypriot barbacue) and local pomegranates for pudding. Tempting, right?
