Two Summers ago we made an impulsive decision (I rarely do this kind of things… I’m a control freak) and took a last minute trip to Barcelona. It was August so imagine the heat and humidity… but we had a wonderful time. This city is great!
We stayed here. This hotel had a great price, a wonderful design and it was right in the city center. We were quite happy with the decision. I won’t stay there for a long vacation, but for a couple of nights it’s nice.
The first thing you do on a Saturday morning in Barcelona? You go to the Boquería market to have breakfast!
After that we spent the morning at MACBA. It is a great museum, I highly recommend it!
We had lunch in a great restauran at Plaza Real, El Taxidermista. The photo is not very nice, sorry…
We spent the whole afternoon wandering through Barri Gòtic…
We were really tired… so we headed back to the hotel. We rested a little, had a quick shower, put on a fancy dress and off we went to enjoy Passeig de Gracia and Gaudí.
To finish a great day, dinner at El japonés de Tragaluz
On Sunday we decided to have breakfast by the sea…
Before saying goodbay to Barcelona, we had a walk in El Born and visited the Cathedral. It was a great weekend!!
