Cascais was a fishing village but since 19th century it has attracted visitors in search of the sea and the sand. Like most of the small villages on the coasts of Europe, it has turned into a turistic destination full of cafes, restaurants and shops. Anyway, it still preserves some of its previous charm.

Cascais is just 20 minutes away by train from Lisbon. Its most appealing feature is its simplicity. We just wandered through the small streets and hidden squares…

We ate in a wonderful restaurant in Calle das Flores:

On our way back to Lisbon we stopped for a drink in wonderful Estoril…

Oh, these pictures have me longing for Summer!

    oh my god, these pictures are post-card perfect. so gorgeous! great, now i’m itching to go to the beach!
